In 2016, we significantly increased our Auto Body Sheet (ABS) capacity...
...to meet the needs of our automotive customers. In France, we inaugurated a new ABS finishing line at Neuf-Brisach, with a production capacity of 100kt. In the U.S., we opened a new manufacturing plant in Bowling Green, KY, with a capacity of 100kt.
In April 2016, we opened our new Constellium University Technology Center (UTC) at Brunel University London.
This dedicated center of excellence for the design, development and prototyping of aluminium alloys and automotive structural components features industrial-sized aluminium casting and extrusion equipment, which enables us to reduce development times by at least 50%.
In July 2016, Jean-Marc Germain became Constellium’s new CEO.
