In January 2015, we announced that we were providing aluminium structural parts for the all-new Ford F-150 pickup truck.
Constellium is one of Ford’s largest suppliers of these components for the F-150 – the most famous and popular vehicle in North America.
This was the first time that a mass market vehicle was built with such a high reliance on aluminium, paving the way for the use of aluminium as a mass market solution.
In October 2015, we launched Aeral™...
...a new aluminium solution designed for the production of aerosol containers using the Drawn and Ironed (D&I) technology which is currently used to produce beverage cans. Aeral™ allows a minimum of 30% weight savings compared to traditional impact extruded containers, all while maintaining the same level of performance in terms of resistance to pressure. Since 2018, we now supply Moravia Cans, a major Czech aerosol can producer, with Aeral™ for the production of Unilever’s Dove antiperspirant aerosols.
